At Graham Magnetics, we are concerned about your needs of ensuring safe transport
of your data. We view the protection of your data as a security triangle. The three
sides of the triangle include the processes in the following areas:
Customer Site
With our on-site scanning program, we scan the tapes at your facility with our proprietary tracking system, ship the tapes to our Graham plant via secure carrier and you are able to view the progress of the tapes every step of the way. Once received in Graham, tapes are again scanned and compared to the original list to assure all tapes are accounted for. Scan results will be made accessible through a secure web site for customer review.
Transportation
- Tapes can be shipped in locking tubs, if necessary.
- Shipment via secure carrier to our processing facility in Graham, TX.
- Secure shipments are received and immediately placed into our locked security cage, until total reconciliation of the two scanned lists of volume ID’s is complete.
Graham Facility Site
- An independent processing room is designated for all High-Security input tapes for 100% data overwrite. This room is located next to the locked security cage.
- Tapes are placed on special carts, tagged for secure processing, and moved from the locked cage to the locked secure production room for processing.
- Only operators for that specific process will have access to the tapes, and this eliminates the possibility of “high-security” tapes becoming mixed with “normal” production product.
- Once all data has been overwritten and final tracking reports have been processed, we prepare and send the Data Destruction Certificates to you on a weekly basis.
- During the final step, we move the processed tapes to our normal production area where all the labels are removed and the cartridges are cleaned and packaged.
- At all times during the process you will be able to view and print tape status reports through a secure web site.
